Our Wellness Partners

In its first few months, Krypa went through multiple shifts, in product thinking, in communication, in how it understood its own place in the wellness space. The incubation at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore became the environment where those pivots were not just accepted, but shaped with intention.

In a world where healthcare is often reactive, the most meaningful partnerships are the ones that quietly shift the focus toward prevention, regulation, and everyday wellbeing. The recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cauvery Nature Cure Centre Naturopathy Hospital and Krypa is one such step—subtle in form, but powerful in impact.

The Quiet Artistry Behind Krypa

Śanaiḥ panthāḥ, śanaiḥ kanthā, śanaiḥ parvata mastakam | Śanair vidyā, śanair vittaṁ, pañcaitāni śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||

Kriti, the founder of Krypa, is an aromatherapist and certified yoga instructor who has dedicated years to mastering the interplay of breath, scent, and stillness in elevating everyday wellbeing. Her journey began in the most intimate way—handcrafting blends for loved ones, leading quiet breathwork circles, and witnessing how thoughtful rituals could gently transform one’s inner world.

As her practice deepened, so did the vision for a space that honoured these traditions with purity, intention, and artistic care. This vision became Krypa—a refined studio-brand crafted around authenticity, sensory harmony, and the belief that wellbeing should feel both personal and exquisitely simple.

Today, Krypa is incubated at NSRCEL IIM Bangalore, which is helping elevate Krypa’s pace and presence, shaping Kriti’s thoughtful passion into a sophisticated, growing ecosystem where ancient aromatic wisdom meets modern breath-led living.

Krypa mirrors her ethos—knowledge-rich, gracefully rooted, and committed to creating rituals that elevate the senses and genuinely enrich the inner self.

Good to Know!

How aromatherapy works?

Aromatherapy works by stimulating the nervous system through the inhalation of essential oils (therapeutic oils extracted from various aromatic plants) , which can then trigger a chain reaction of signals to the brain and affect the body's chemistry.

The scent molecules of essential oils stimulate olfactory receptors in the nose, sending messages to the brain's limbic system, the emotional center, and hypothalamus, influencing mood, memory, and hormone release.

Aromatherapy work on the body through 3 different pathways - the cutaneous pathway (through the skin),
the respiratory pathway (through the membrane of lungs), the olfactory pathway (through the neuro-endocrine system)

Can aromatherapy oils be used on skin?

Yes, aromatherapy oils, also known as essential oils, can be used on the skin, but they must be diluted with a carrier oil before application.

It's necessary to dilute the essential oils before using. Depending on your skin sensitivity and the strength of the oil, pure, undiluted essential oils can cause skin irritation, redness, or allergic reactions.

Here's why dilution is important and how you do it:

  • High Concentration: Essential oils are highly concentrated and can be too potent for direct skin contact.
  • Carrier Oils: Carrier oils (like coconut, jojoba, almond, or grapeseed oil) dilute the essential oil and help it spread more easily on the skin.
  • Patch Test: Before using a diluted essential oil blend, do a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any adverse reactions, always.
Can I use aromatherapy when pregnant?

Aromatherapy, using essential oils, can be used during pregnancy for various benefits like reducing nausea, anxiety, and insomnia, but it's crucial to use them safely and under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Some oils are considered safe for use during pregnancy, while others should be avoided or used with caution, especially in the first trimester.

What aromatherapy is good for anxiety?

Here are a few aromatherapy oils that help in reducing anxiety significantly

1. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
It is deeply calming, helps reduce cortisol (stress hormone) and is used for: general anxiety, sleep disturbances, panic

It uplifts mood while calming nerves and is used for: Emotional overwhelm, anxious anticipation
4. Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
It helps in grounding the mind, deepens breathing and is used for: Chronic stress, anxiety with existential triggers

Always do a patch test or consult an aromatherapist before using any essential oil.
